Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 18, 2026

This policy explains what information mimap collects, why we collect it, and how it is handled. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

1. Who We Are

MiMap ("we", "us") operates a technology platform that connects customers who need roadside assistance with independent third-party service providers ("Providers"), and connects dealers and carriers in a separate vehicle transport marketplace. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Information You Give Us

Account information: your name, email address, phone number and account role. Service request information: your name, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses, notes about your vehicle or situation, vehicle details (year, make, model, VIN or registration where provided) and any photos you upload of your vehicle. Payment information: payments are processed by our payment processor; we receive a payment status and transaction reference, and we do not store your full card number. Provider application information: for providers, we collect your driver licence, proof of insurance, vehicle registration, business details, service area, and the bank account and tax identification details needed to pay you. Communications: messages you send through in-app chat or support, and emails we send you about your account or jobs.

3. Location Information

If you allow it, we collect your device location to find providers near you, to show your position on the map, and to calculate distances and mileage. Customers share live location while a job is active so the provider can reach them. Providers share live location while they are online or on a job so customers can track their arrival; that location is also visible to MiMap administrators for dispatch and safety. If you decline location access you can still use the app by entering your address manually.

4. Information Collected Automatically

We record standard technical information needed to run the service securely, such as job status changes, timestamps, and which account created or updated a record. In-app chat messages are stored with the job so both parties and our support team can review what was agreed.

5. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account; to match your request with a provider and let them reach you; to calculate pricing, mileage and fees; to process payments and provider payouts; to review provider applications and monitor document compliance; to provide live tracking and status updates; to send job, account and receipt notifications; to prevent fraud, duplicate requests and misuse; to resolve disputes and provide support; and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

6. Sharing Your Information

With providers: when you request a service, the provider who accepts receives your name, phone number, addresses, job notes and the vehicle information needed to complete the job. With customers: a provider's name and live location are shared with you while they are on your job. With our service providers: payment processing (card authorisation, capture and refunds) is handled by our payment processor; the platform is hosted on and stores data with our application platform provider; map tiles and address lookup are provided by third-party mapping services. With administrators: MiMap staff can view applications, documents, jobs, payments and disputes to operate and support the service. For legal reasons: we may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of MiMap, our users or the public. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Provider Documents

Provider licences, insurance certificates and vehicle registrations are stored so that our administrators can review them, confirm they are current, and suspend a provider whose required documents are missing or expired. Access to these documents is restricted to authorised administrators and to the provider who uploaded them.

8. Payment Data

Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on MiMap servers. We keep payment status, amounts, fees and transaction references so we can settle provider payouts, issue receipts and handle refunds and disputes. Provider bank and tax details are used only to pay you and to meet tax reporting obligations.

9. Data Retention

We keep account, job, payment and tax records for as long as your account is active and afterwards for as long as we need them to meet legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements. Provider compliance documents are kept while the provider is active and for the period required after they leave the network. You can ask us to delete your account data that we are not required to keep.

10. Security

Access to records is restricted by role: customers see their own requests, providers see their own jobs and documents, and administrative access is limited to MiMap staff. Sensitive values such as pricing, job status and provider approval status are enforced on the server so they cannot be changed from the browser. Payments are handled by a PCI-compliant processor. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You can update your name, phone and account details in the app. You can turn location access off in your browser or device settings, though live tracking and automatic mileage will not work without it. You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by contacting us through the support channels in the app. You can opt out of non-essential emails, but we will still send transactional messages about your account and jobs.

12. Children

MiMap is not intended for use by anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

14. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, please contact us through the MiMap platform support channels.
